Top 5 favorite movies

Since my last blog was so depressing, I thought I would make an entry that made me smile. Anyone who knows me knows that I love movies so I have compiled a list of my top 5 all time favorite movies. There are several more that I love but these are the ones that I never get tired of watching.

5. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

I used to watch this movie all the time when I was younger and can still watch it now. There is something that fascinates me about singing and dancing boys ( another male dominated musical made the list as well). The plot ins't even that good but the cast consists of several professional dancers making it a very enjoyable film. I found a video of one of the songs I like from the movie but unfortunately couldn't find any of the dance sequences. The movie is from 1954 so keep that in mind! ( my computer wouldn't let me post the video for some reason so just click on the link if you want to watch!)

4. Matilda

Yes, this is a movie for children but I don't care! I think it is adorable and so entertaining despite your age. I used to want to be just like Miss Honey with her cute little cottage and garden. Also, if I had a classroom full of Matildas my job would be so much easier.

3. Hook

You thought it was going to be number 1 didn't you? Well, two others beat this one. I adore his movie. Call me immature, I don't care. I think it is too precious. This scene is probably one of my favorites from the whole movie. Shut up Rufio, you don't belong in this movie, go home.

2. Newsies

Alright all you Christian Bale fans, before he was Batman, he was a Newsie. A singing, dancing, cowboy hat wearing Newsie. My sister and I have watched this movie since we were little and can sing any of the songs to you. In fact, we got into a fight once because I took the movie to college my freshman year. Yes, it is that great. God, I love this movie.

1. When Harry Met Sally

From fake orgasms to the perfect apple pie, I can never get enough of this movie. Yes, Meg Ryan's outfits are atrocious but who cares.  There is quite a bit of dialogue in this movie which a few of my friends have found boring but I think it makes the movie. Anyway, it's my favorite movie! Enjoy!

And after he was a newsie, he was Thomas in Pocahantas, then Laurie in Little Women. Oh, Christian Bale, you used to be so sweet and innocent and now you're a badass Batman. Where do the years go?
